Keaton Mitchell carried the ball 11 times for 20 yards while also catching his only target for 28 yards in the Ravens' 31-2 win over the Texans in Week 17.
Fantasy Impact
Mitchell struggled to find much success out of the backfield as Derrick Henry's backup, averaging a paltry 1.8 yards per carry in the win. The running back can remain off rosters in formats with Week 18 championships, with a divisional contest against the Cleveland Browns up next.
Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell is officially inactive for Week 15.
Fantasy Impact
Mitchell will sit out as a healthy inactive against the Giants Sunday. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable leaving him on the waiver wire to close out the season.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team hopes to get Keaton Mitchell more involved with the offense going forward.
Fantasy Impact
"I do see a little bit of a three-headed monster there potentially," Harbaugh said. Derrick Henry will continue to lead the backfield for Baltimore with Justice Hill and Mitchell mixing in behind him.
Baltimore Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell was activated off of the injured reserve and will make his season debut on Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Mitchell excelled as a rookie when he was healthy, averaging 8.4 yards per carry and totaling 489 yards from scrimmage in eight games. However, he suffered a full ACL tear in his knee and has been recovering all season. Now in Week 10, he will make his season debut, though the Ravens' top RB currently leads the NFL in rushing (Derrick Henry: 1,052 yards) and veteran RB Justice Hill has worked into the rotation situationally as a blocker and pass-catcher. It will be interesting to see how the dominant Baltimore offense deploys Mitchell's speed.
The Ravens waived Yannick Ngakoue to open up a roster spot for Keaton Mitchell should he be able to make his season debut on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Mitchell remains listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Bengals. If he is cleared, he'll likely be eased back into action.
