Kaiir Elam inactive for Thursday night

The Buffalo Bills have placed Kaiir Elam on the inactive list for Thursday Night Football against the New England Patriots, a healthy scratch.

Fantasy Impact

Elam had no injury designation and practiced in full throughout the week, but the former first-rounder will not be active for TNF. Elam has not played more than 50% of the team's defensive snaps since Week 6 and only played on 21% of the snaps in Week 12. CB Tre'Davious White is back and will likely see more playing time. LB Baylon Spector, TE Quinton Morris, OL Dion Dawkins and S Dean Marlowe are also inactive.

Kaiir Elam selected No. 23 by Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have selected CB Kaair Elam with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact

The Buffalo Bills traded up to pick 23 with the Baltimore Ravens in exchange giving up picks 25 and 130. Buffalo elected to invest in their secondary by adding Elam who played in 10 games for Florida in 2021 after missing three with a knee injury. The year prior Elam started all 12 games for the Gators and lead the team in pass breakups while also collecting two interceptions, earning him first-team all-SEC honors. Elam can work on run support but can play well in the zone and has good awareness.
