Joshua Mauga

The Kansas City Chiefs have placed inside linebacker Josh Mauga on IR with a back injury.

Fantasy Impact

Mauga was a starter opposite Derrick Johnson the last two seasons, but is a below-average starter at best and will not likely be missed. Justin March has been getting reps ahead of Ramik Wilson for the newly-opened starting gig, and he makes for an interesting add in IDP leagues.

Josh Mauga had three full practices this week and is good to go against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend.

Fantasy Impact

Mauga still leads the team in tackles and is on pace to continue doing so on Sunday. The Chiefs defense is becoming a decent start in week 14.

After earning part of the starting role due to a wrist injury to ILB Joe Mays, Josh Mauga paces the chiefs with 76 total tackles.

Most formats do not reward a fantasy D/ST for each tackle, but it is always nice to know that a defense has depth at vital positions like ILB.
