Josh Adams
RB -
Week 11 Outlook
Availability
Josh Adams has been released by the Saints from their practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo.
Fantasy Impact
Adams has also spent time with the Eagles and Jets during his NFL career and is now a free agent. The Saints running back room includes Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, Tony Jones Jr., and Abram Smith.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports RB Josh Adams has cleared waivers and elected not to re-sign with the Jets' practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Pelissero notes that there are a lot of RB-needy teams right now and Adams wants to see what opportunities are out there. He'll need to land somewhere with immediate opportunity to wind up with any shot at fantasy value this season.
Josh Adams received one carry for a gain of zero in the Jets' 31-13 Week 2 loss to the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Adams was promoted from the practice squad once Le'Veon Bell was placed on injured reserve. He certainly isn't a fantasy factor in this dumpster fire of an offense. Frank Gore got 21 carries on Sunday.
The New York Jets promoted RB Josh Adams from the practice squad on Saturday. He's slated to play on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Adams reenters a running -back-by-committee scenario in the absence of LeVeon Bell - who hit IR after a Week 1 hamstring injury. Adams scored in garbage time, so it's possible he could get goalline carries while splitting time with Frank Gore, La'Michal Perine, and newly acquired Kalen Ballage. Adams is nothing more than a deep stash as the Jets offense is a complete mess.
Josh Adams rushed two times for eight yards and a score in the Jets' 27-17 Week 1 loss to the Bills.
Fantasy Impact
Adams also caught 2-of-2 targets for 14 yards. He got some additional run in the second half with Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) sidelined, but it still didn't amount to many touches. He's worth adding in deep fantasy leagues in case Bell misses the Jets' Week 2 tilt with the 49ers.
