Jordan Todman rushes for 20 yards in limited action

Jordan Todman rushed for 20 yards on eight carries in the Jets' preseason victory over the Tennessee Titans on Saturday night. His longest run of the night was for six yards, as he averaged fours yards per carry.

Fantasy Impact

Todman may be on the roster bubble as the Jets inch closer towards the season opener, as the team is currently carrying more than five running backs during the preseason. If so, he needs a strong showing every time he steps on the field to secure a spot with the team. What does this mean for your fantasy team going forward? Absolutely nothing, as he should not be on any fantasy roster come Week One. Do not draft Todman in season-long leagues. Also, stay away from him in daily fantasy, as the risk for playing time far outweighs the potential for success.

Jordan Todman to sign with Jets

NFL Insider Adam Caplan is reporting the New York Jets are expected to sign running back Jordan Todman on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Likely in correspondence to Eric Decker's release, the Jets will sign Todman, a RB/ KR, formerly of the Colts. The 27-year-old rusher will likely find a place on New York's special teams unit for the 2017 season.

Jordan Todman signs with Colts

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with RB Jordan Todman according to Around the NFL.

Fantasy Impact

The Colts added depth to the running back position behind Frank Gore and the recently acquired Robert Turbin by adding Jordan Todman, formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Todman saw an ample amount of playing time in the postseason with Pittsburgh due to injuries at the position forcing Todman into the lineup where he made the most of his opportunity. The journeyman back rushed for 72 yards in two games in the playoffs. Todman isn't a threat to the aging Frank Gore to out-seat him for the starting job.

Todman sees double-digit touches against Bengals

Playing alongside Fitzgerald Toussaint, Jordan Todman saw 11 carries in an 18-16 win over the Bengals, recording 65 yards. He had a fumble that went out of bounds.

Fantasy Impact

Despite Todman's success, Toussaint was visibly the better back in this game, and that should continue into any future playoff games Denver plays until DeAngelo Williams' return.

Jordan Todman expected to see touches on Saturday

According to Steelers OC Todd Haley, Jordan Todman is expected to be a part of a running back by-committee approach with Fitzgerald Toussaint in Saturday's Wild-Card matchup against the Bengals.

Fantasy Impact

Jordan Todman and Fitzgerald Toussaint split first-team reps in practice this past week in preparation for Saturday's Wild-Card matchup against the Bengals. With DeAngelo Williams ruled out, Toussaint is said to be the primary back in Pittsburgh, but committee approach is to be expected come game time. Toussaint is the better DFS option out of the duo in a tough road matchup in Cincinnati.
