Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Less than a year after signing with the team, the Jaguars have waived Jonas Gray, citing an injured quad.
Fantasy Impact
After the team signed Chris Ivory, there was little question that Gray would no longer be fantasy relevant. He could possibly sign with another team if he clear waivers. Until then, Gray should not be owned in any format.
Jonas Gray had nine carries for 23 yards against the Texans on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Gray, like the rest of the Jaguars offense, was unable to get anything going against Houston. Gray has little-to-no fantasy value going into next season as T.J. Yeldon is the clear #1 option for Jacksonville.
Jonas Gray had five carries for 31 yards against the Saints on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
This was the first action Gray saw as a member of the Jaguars, and he showed his potential when he broke a 23-yard run in the second quarter. Gray will not likely be fantasy relevant next year as he has bounced around teams in limited roles recently.
Gray only had one yard rushing on two carries but had 50 yards on four catches as he took over for Miller as the game got out of hand.
Fantasy Impact
Gray has quickly become the compliment to Miller in the running game and his main competition Damien Williams left the game early with an hand injury. Gray will have to show more though if he wants to keep Ajayi from returning and taking away some of his playing time.
Jonas Gray was promoted as insurance for Miller, he ended up receiving nine carries for 49 yards mostly with the game wrapped up.
Fantasy Impact
It is highly unlikely that Gray receives nine carries again against the Jets but he may have secured his roster spot as he ran with power which is much needed for a team that frequently plays with finesse.
