Joe Webb III
QB -
Week 12 Outlook
Availability
The Texans placed Joe Webb on injured reserve Saturday due to a foot injury, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Fantasy Impact
Webb looked to be the third-string QB for the Texans and now it looks like his season is over. It should be obvious to fantasy owners that Webb should not be stashed.
Joe Webb suffered a right foot injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Rams, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Fantasy Impact
It is being reported that the foot injury is serious and Webb could end up starting the year on the IR. The veteran QB was slated to be third-string behind Deshaun Watson and AJ McCarron and does not have any fantasy value.
Joe Webb went 8-for-21 for 62 yards and threw two interceptions while rushing four times for 25 yards as the Texans lost to the Cowboys 34-0 on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Webb did not help himself on Saturday as the veteran QB tries to make the Texans roster. Current backup AJ McCarron is missing preseason with a thumb injury but is expected back for the start of the regular season which means Webb will probably be without a job.
Joe Webb completed 14-of-25 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown with one interception in Saturday's preseason Week 2 win over the Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Webb is getting a good look by the Texans as he is currently second on the depth chart with backup QB AJ McCarron out for the preseason with a thumb injury. McCarron looks to slot back in the role when he comes back which could leave Webb without a job.
Joe Webb was 25 for 40 for 286 yards a touchdown and two interceptions and rushed six times for 47 yards as the Texans lost to the Packers in the preseason opener on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Webb got to see plenty of action with starting QB Deshaun Watson being held out and back up AJ McCarron out with an injury. Webb has a shot at making the team but will be in a reserve role and won't be relevant in fantasy.
