Jimmy Smith
CB -
Week 13 Outlook
Availability
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith is inactive for Monday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
While expected, this is still a massive blow to a secondary that lost Marcus Peters for the season. Smith, if active, was expected to be the primary cover man on Raiders superstar tight end Darren Waller, who may now have a field day against his former team unless Marlon Humphrey picks him up. Smith is expected to miss a couple of weeks of action. His absence should open things up even more for the Raiders passing game and is value-boosting news for Darren Waller and Bryan Edwards.
CB Jimmy Smith to be out a "couple" weeks, however he still needs to complete an MRI.
Fantasy Impact
Without an MRI it’s hard to know how long Smith will really miss, but a “couple” is what the team is anticipating. The low ankle sprain is apparently not serious. While he won’t be out as long as he would have been for a high ankle sprain, the team says he won't be rushed back. Obviously his timeline will boil down to rest and mitigating aggravation, but he should be a go for Week 1.
Baltimore Ravens CB Jimmy Smith will not play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15 due to rib and shoulder injuries.
Fantasy Impact
Smith was previously dealing with back issues until he exited Sunday's contest with reports of a shoulder injury. Since Week 9, Smith has either not played or seen less than 30% of the snaps, so he's clearly not ready to play. The oft-injured former first-round pick will look to get back on the field in Week 16.
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith is active for Monday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns.
Fantasy Impact
Smith missed Week 13 with the injury but was able to log limited practices on Friday and Saturday. He was deemed questionable on the team's final injury report and will be active for a crucial matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Smith is not much an IDP option, even in CB leagues, but helps make up one of the most talented cornerback trios in the league.
Baltimore Ravens star cornerback Jimmy Smith missed Wednesday's practice with a back injury.
Fantasy Impact
Smith was not expected to practice on Wednesday after missing Week 10 on the injury but will need to log at least one limited session to have a chance of being cleared for a key matchup against the Tennessee Titans. This is a situation to monitor closely as Smith missing another contest would boost the fantasy outlooks of A.J. Brown, Corey Davis, and Ryan Tannehill.
