Week 13 Outlook
Availability
The Ravens have promoted wide receiver Jeremy Ross from the practice squad to the active roster, giving them a proven special teams returner. Baltimore waived defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi to make room for Ross on the 53-man squad. The Ravens needed a returner after kick and punt returner Michael Campanaro suffered a back injury last Thursday in Pittsburgh and was placed on injured reserve. Steve Smith Sr. was the team's other punt returner, but he also has a back injury.
Fantasy Impact
The Jeremy Ross signing is definitely a depth adding move by the injury riddled Ravens. Ross will be serving as the return man unless newly aquires Chris Givens takes that roll. Ross does not have fantasy value unless he adds a spark to this Ravens offense.
Calvin Johnson will most likely miss Sundays contest with the Vikings so that should open up more opportunities for Ross in the slot and on the outside. Ross has 8 catches for 121 yards and a TD this season.
Fantasy Impact
He has only had 10 targets on the year so far, but if the Lions are without Reggie Bush and Johnson, he should be able to play more of an offensive role. He is still only a WR4 this week though. We need stronger results before he can be trusted weekly even with injuries.
Jeremy Ross made the most of his opportunity Sunday by catching both targets sent his way. His 2 catches went for 65 yards including the big 59 yard TD strike from Matt Stafford.
Fantasy Impact
His value is still little to none on a weekly basis in all fantasy leagues but he does seem to be working his way into the offense more each week.
