Jayrone Elliot has played a limited role in the Packers defense this year, but on Sunday night he created two critical turnovers (an interception and forced fumble) that helped seal the Packers Week 2 victory.

Jayrone Elliot intercepted an attempted Russell Wilson screen pass that halted Seattle's 4th quarter comeback hopes. On Seattle's next possession it was Elliot again who forced a Fred Jackson fumble (recovered by teammate Micah Hyde) and sealed a 27 to 17 victory for the Packers.

In Thursday's preseason road win over New England, second-year LB Jayrone Elliot had a good showing for the Packers. He led the team with eight tackles and added a quarterback pressure and a half-a-sack.

Elliot is currently listed as the third-team OLB behind Clay Matthews and Nick Perry. More solid games like this from the Toledo product and he will be well on his way to securing a backup/special teams spot this season.
