2024 Outlook

Jared Abbrederis was targeted three times in Week 5 with two catches for 37 yards during the Lions' 27-24 loss to the Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
With Kenny Golladay out, Abbrederis saw his first targets of the season playing on 23% of the Lions' offensive snaps. If Golladay remains out, Abbrederis could become the third WR option ahead of TJ Jones but is still not worth fantasy consideration.
Jared Abbrederis had two receptions for 18 yards in the Lions' 24-10 victory over the Colts in their first preseason game on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Abbrederis is fighting for a roster spot in the Lions' receiving corp this preseason. He made a good impression on the coaches during OTAs and is a reliable, sure-handed receiver to provide depth. With Kenny Golladay's big game, Abbrederis is likely the #4 WR at best. He is not worth fantasy consideration.
Detroit Lions beat writer David Birkett is reporting head coach Jim Caldwell has been impressed by wide receiver Jared Abbrederis' route running at OTAs. "The guy’s a really good route runner, very, very good just in terms of his ability to find open areas,” Caldwell said via the Detroit Free Press. “He has good spatial awareness. You complement all those things that he can do from an offensive standpoint with his ability to play special teams as well. He’s really coming along and really doing well, so he’s just got to keep progressing.”
Fantasy Impact
Abbrederis, who is entering his third season in the NFL, has accumulated 10 receptions for 119 yards in his two-year career. He is expected to engage in a battle for the starting slot receiver spot for the remainder of the offseason with T.J. Jones and Kenny Golladay on the Lions' offense for the 2017 season. If Abbrederis emerges on top, he'll garner deep sleeper fantasy value for the upcoming campaign and would be worth a late-round flier in fantasy drafts.
Jared Abbredaris was placed on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
The injuries continue to mount in Green Bay. Jared Abbredaris has been placed on IR all three seasons of his pro career. Its hard to imagine him making the team again next year with Ty Montgomery, Randall Cobb, and Trevor Davis all on the roster at the slot WR. Geronimo Allison was promoted to the active roster in his stead.
Rob Demovsky reports that the Green Bay Packer WR Jared Abbrederis is listed at second-string WR on the depth chart. Abbrederis will compete in camp with WRs Davante Adams, Ty Montgomery, Jeff Janis, and Trevor Davis.
Fantasy Impact
Green Bay must really like what they have seen from Abbrederis this off-season. Last season, Abbrederis had nine catches for 111 yards and zero TDs in 10 games. In comparison, Jeff Janis caught 11 catches for 145 yards and two TDs in just one game against the Arizona Cardinals. While Abbrederis is currently ahead of Jeff Janis and Ty Montgomery on the depth chart, both players have higher ADPs than Abbrederis. I would keep an eye on the Packers WR situation because the second-team spots are wide open.
