Jackrabbit Jenkins released by Tennessee

The Titans have released defensive back Jackrabbit Jenkins.

Fantasy Impact

The 11-year veteran played only one season for Tennessee after playing for the Rams, Giants, and Saints. He appeared in 13 games in 2021 tallying one interception, one forced fumble, and 54 tackles.

Janoris Jenkins reportedly signs a deal with Titans, per Schefter

Former New Orleans Saints CB Janoris Jenkins has reportedly signed a deal with the Tennesse Titans, as stated by his agent, per Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact

Jenkins had a solid year for the Saints in 2020, totaling 55 tackles and three interceptions across 13 regular season games. He will reportedly join the Titans in 2021, adding talent and exceptional speed to a secondary that struggled with coverage throughout the 2020 season. "Jackrabbit" Jenkins should help usher in grittiness and a decade of experience amongst the defensive back unit, elevating Titans cornerback Kristian Fulton to a new level in 2021. The Titans will likely continue to make moves during free agency and the draft to attempt reaching the postseason for the third consecutive year.

Janoris Jenkins released by Saints

The Saints are releasing veteran CB Janoris Jenkins.

Fantasy Impact

The move saves the team $7 million against the cap. The 32-year-old was limited to 13 games this year but was a respected veteran presence on the defense. New Orleans had one of the worst cap situations in the league entering the week, and they're making moves now to clean it up.

Janoris Jenkins active for Week 16

Newly acquired cornerback Janoris Jenkins is active for Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Impact

There has been no indication on what type of snap count (if any) Jenkins will be on against the Titans, but it makes sense that he will be on the field in man coverage, but may be on the sidelines for the zone concepts he may be more unfamiliar with. Despite his unceremonious exit from the Giants, Jenkins is still a talented corner who lowers the floor for A.J. Brown and Corey Davis.

Janoris Jenkins claimed by Saints

Former New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been claimed by the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Impact

And the rich get richer. This is the type of addition that could put the Saints over the top in the NFC. Jenkins next to Lattimore and Apple will give the Saints what could be the most talented cornerback trio in the NFC. The Saints also placed a failed claim for recently waived pass rusher Terrell Suggs. Jenkins can join the team on Tuesday after the Saints Week 15 is complete.
