Jacques Patrick finds end zone Friday

Jacques Patrick carried the ball nine times for 30 yards and a touchdown in a 36-23 loss to the Cardinals in Friday's preseason game. Patrick also caught both of his targets for 39 yards.

Fantasy Impact

Jacques Patrick signs with the Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals signed RB Jacques Patrick to the team to replace RB Elijah Holyfield who was placed on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact

Patrick returns to Cincinnati for a second stint with the first NFL team to sign him after going undrafted. In four seasons at Florida State, Patrick had 1,790 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. He played in the XFL for a season before bouncing around a couple of rosters, including a two-game stretch with the San Francisco 49ers. He is now returning to Cincinnati to fight for a roster spot in 2022.

Jacques Patrick signs with 49ers

The 49ers signed RB Jacques Patrick from the Bengals' practice squad.

Fantasy Impact

The former XFL star had some nice games for Cincinnati this preseason, but he's only worth adding in deeper formats for fantasy purposes right now. The entire 49ers' RB room is banged up at the moment, so Patrick a name worth remembering.

Jacques Patrick of the XFL signs with the Cincinnati Bengals

Former XFL RB Jacques Patrick has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Impact

The 23-year old back out of Florida State went undrafted in 2019, but was picked up by the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers in 2020. Patrick rushed 60 times for 254 yards and two TDs in five games for the Vipers before the season was canceled. He’ll look to provide depth in the Bengals backfield behind Joe Mixon. Patrick could be a bit of an insurance policy in Cincinnati with recent reports of Mixon potentially holding out if a long-term deal isn’t reached before the July 15 deadline.
