Week 13 Outlook
Availability
Atlanta Falcons TE Jacob Tamme (shoulder) underwent season-ending shoulder surgery on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Tamme is finished for the remainder of the year as he underwent season-ending shoulder surgery on Friday. In his absence, Austin Hooper is expected to be the featured tight end in Atlanta's smoking hot passing attack. However, he is not a reliable fantasy option in this week's tough matchup against Arizona.
Atlanta Falcons TE Jacob Tamme (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 10.
Fantasy Impact
Tamme will not play Sunday against Philadelphia as expected. He is dealing with a shoulder injury that caused him to miss last week's game as well. Austin Hooper will be the beneficiary of Tamme's absence this week, but he should not be considered for fantasy football purposes. Philadelphia's defense is ranked 30th in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends giving up only 4.4 FPPG, which does not bode well for Hooper's projected statistical output for Week 10.
Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn "reiterated" that TE Jacob Tamme (shoulder) will "likely" be ruled out for Week 10.
Fantasy Impact
Tamme is on track to miss his second consecutive game Sunday against Philadelphia with a shoulder injury. If he is ultimately ruled out, Austin Hooper will likely be the beneficiary of Tamme's absence as he was last week versus Tampa Bay. Hooper has played well over the past two games hauling in 8-of-11 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown. However, facing an Eagles defense ranked 30th in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends this week, Hooper should remain off of the fantasy radar even if Tamme is inactive for the contest.
Jacob Tamme has already been ruled out for Week 9 with a shoulder injury. The Falcons are on a short week which obviously didn't help his cause. TE Austin Hooper will start in his place.
Fantasy Impact
Austin Hooper is worth consideration as a streamer this week with Tamme out and many teams on bye. Bucs TE Cameron Brate is also a streaming option in the same game on Thursday night.
Jacob Tamme hauled in 1-of-3 total targets for 17 yards and one touchdown versus the Chargers in Week 7.
Fantasy Impact
Despite being listed as the starting tight end on the depth chart, Tamme just doesn't see enough targets to merit a roster spot in season-long formats and is also a low-floor weekly option in DFS.
