Isaiah Ford
WR -
Week 17 Outlook
Availability
The Colts announced that they have released WR Isaiah Ford ahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET roster cutdown deadline.
Fantasy Impact
Ford signed with the Colts in late July and has now become a victim of the NFL's first wave of mandatory roster cutdowns. Ford came into the league as a seventh-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2017 and has recorded 63 receptions for 681 yards and two touchdowns through his first four seasons.
The Indianapolis Colts have signed former Miami Dolphins WR Isaiah Ford.
Fantasy Impact
Ford was taken in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Dolphins, playing in Miami for the last four seasons. He was a standout at Virginia Tech, receiving All-ACC nods in two seasons. In the NFL, Ford started three of his 32 games, putting up 681 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 63 receptions. Ford will provide further depth for a young Indianapolis receiving core as a rotational pass catcher.
Dolphins wide receiver Isaiah Ford hauled in all three of his targets for 51 yards against the Jets on Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy Impact
Ford had 110 yards and two touchdowns this season prior to Week 15. He saw increased usage this week due to the absence of Jaylen Waddle (COVID-19) and isn't on the fantasy radar.
Dolphins wide receiver Isaiah Ford turned his lone target into a two-yard touchdown grab against the Giants on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Ford has benefitted from Tua Tagovailoa's tendency to spread the ball around. He has totaled six catches for 97 yards and a touchdown over the course of his last four games.
Dolphins wide receiver Isaiah Ford was no stranger to the big play on Thursday night as he hauled in all four of his targets for 84 yards. His longest catch of the night went for 54 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Ford had just two catches for 13 yards throughout five games prior to Week 10, so his showing on Thursday night was clearly his best of the year. Miami definitely took advantage of getting him involved, especially when he lined up against Baltimore cornerback Anthony Averett. He's still far too risky for consideration in fantasy leagues.
