The Las Vegas Raiders have signed DT Gerald McCoy.

Fantasy Impact

After showing up in great shape and impressing the Raiders during his workout Wednesday, McCoy has found himself a new team. One year after rupturing his quad, he will now compete for a starting job. A low-risk, high-reward addition for the Raiders who have been very active this offseason in improving the depth on their defense.

Gerald McCoy released by Cowboys via injury waiver

Cowboys defensive lineman Gerald McCoy was released by the team via injury waiver on Tuesday, NFL insider Adam Schefter reports. McCoy reportedly has an injury waiver on his quad in his contract, making it possible for the team to cut him without owing him any more than the $3 million bonus he already earned. McCoy went down with a quad injury on Monday and was quickly diagnosed with a ruptured right quad tendon.

Fantasy Impact

McCoy was brought in to help the Cowboys rebuild their defensive line for new defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, but he'll now be looking for a new team next offseason after spending this year recovering from a ruptured quad. In 2019, McCoy played in 16 games, recording five sacks.
