Week 16 Outlook
Availability
The Saints plan to join the Patriots in having the backup quarterbacks under center. Expect to see a lot of Garrett Grayson.
Fantasy Impact
This is the time for Grayson to prove himself and really show his value. Grayson, a third-round pick in 2015, was the MWC offensive player of the year in 2014 for the high powered Colorado state football team. If Grayson preformes well he could see his dynasty stock rise quite consideriably.
According to USA Today's Lindsay Jones, Garrett Grayson injured his hamstring while training and will not participate in any combine drills.
Fantasy Impact
It is not clear whether Grayson will work out at the Colorado State pro-day. The 3rd ranked QB according to NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah, any hope of Grayson improving his mid-round stock will have to wait. You're better off taking a flier on a skill position player late in your dynasty drafts than spending it on a non Mariota or Winston QB.
Garrett Grayson was named by NFL scouts as the top QB in Mobile for the Senior Bowl.
Fantasy Impact
Garrett Grayson went to a non-Power 5 conference school, Colorado State, but distinguished himself as a Pro-Style QB with the Rams and shone for NFL scouts this week. He threw for 4002 yards and 32 touchdowns in his senior year and finished 5th in the FCS with a 166.2 QB Rating. Grayson demonstrated good zip and general accuracy at the Senior Bowl, leading to his recognition. Grayson projects as a third or fourth round pick and should make an NFL roster as a backup for 2015.
