Eric Stokes
CB - Green Bay Packers
Week 16 Outlook
Availability
The Packers declined the fifth-year option for Eric Stokes.
Fantasy Impact
Stokes has dealt with injuries the past couple of seasons following a solid rookie year in Green Bay. He will look for a big season coming up in a prove-it type of year.
Eric Stokes has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Fantasy Impact
It will be rookie Jaren Hall under center for Minnesota against a depleted Packers secondary that will be without both Stokes and Jaire Alexander. Green Bay was already struggling defensively so it has the potential to be a fairly high-scoring game between the two divisional rivals.
The Packers have designated Eric Stokes to return from the PUP list and have opened up his 21-day practice window.
Fantasy Impact
Stokes hasn't seen the field at all this year after he began the season on the PUP list for injuries he suffered last season. His 21-day practice window is officially open, which means that the team has three weeks to activate him or else he'll be out for the year. The former first-round pick should be back soon and will be a huge boost to a Green Bay defense that struggled heavily in Week 4.
Eric Stokes is slated to begin the season on the PUP list, making him ineligible to appear in at least the team's first four games.
Fantasy Impact
Stokes, a former first-round pick in the 2021 draft, will be out for at least the Packers' first four games. This leaves the team with only four CBs on their active roster, including 2023 seventh-round pick Carrington Valentine. Perhaps the team will look to add a veteran before the season begins.
Green Bay Packers rookie CB Eric Stokes officially signed his contract with the team on Wednesday, per Packers' GM Brian Gutekunst.
Fantasy Impact
The rookie cornerback out of the University of Georgia was selected as the 29th overall pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2021 NFL Draft. Stokes measured impressive speed and agility at his Pro Day, logging a 4.31 40-yard dash and 4.36 shuttle while showcasing a 38.5 inch vertical. The Packers already boast a pair of young and talented cornerbacks in Jaire Alexander and Kevin King but Stokes could quickly earn a role as the nickel corner, replacing current Packers' NB Chandon Sullivan.
