Eric Fisher
OL -
Week 16 Outlook
Availability
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Colts OT Eric Fisher (Achilles) is expected to play in Week 2.
Fantasy Impact
Fisher is in line to make his 2021 debut on Sunday against the Rams. This is terrific news for the Colts, who had their hands full last week against Seattle's defensive front and it will only be ramped up by a wide margin against the Rams. Fisher will likely start if he is indeed active.
Colts OT Eric Fisher has been ruled out for Sunday's opener with the Seahawks as he works his way back from an Achilles injury suffered in the 2020 postseason.
Fantasy Impact
The Colts appear to be taking their time with the veteran lineman. They need Fisher to plug the hole left when LT Anthony Castonzo retired following the 2020 season. Fisher, a former number one overall pick by the Chiefs, relies heavily on his athleticism, and it's likely the Colts want him at 100% before he steps back onto the field.
The Colts activated LT Eric Fisher from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Fantasy Impact
However, Fisher is still working his way back from last year's Achilles injury. The expectation is that he'll be sidelined until mid-October.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that LT Eric Fisher and the Colts have agreed on a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
Fisher is a huge addition to the already elite offensive line. The deal is worth $9.4M and will now be protecting new Colts QB Carson Wentz. Fisher tore his achilles right before the Super Bowl, but the Colts are comfortable enough with his rehab to sign him. This is a big boost for Wentz and Jonathan Taylor who figures to handle the bulk of the carries in the Colts backfield.
Free agent left tackle Eric Fisher is set to visit the Indianapolis Colts later this week.
Fantasy Impact
There is no guarantee Fisher is ready for week one after suffering a major Achilles injury in the Chiefs AFC Championship game against Buffalo back in January. Regardless, Fisher would be a major upgrade for this current Colts offensive line when he is healthy.
