According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, kicker Elliott Fry is being released by the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Impact
Despite being the more accurate of the Broncos' two kickers during Denver's preseason opener — making one of two field goals and making his lone extra-point attempt — Fry is being released in favor of veteran kicker Brett Maher. Fry, who is 28, has only played in three career regular season games, hitting five of his six field goal attempts. He can look for the opportunity to land at another camp and compete in the preseason again.

Elliott has played for three teams in the last two seasons after going undrafted out of South Carolina. He is 5-of-6 on career field-goal attempts and 5-of-7 on extra-point attempts. He has a chance to become the starter in Jacksonville if he outperforms K Ryan Santoso down the stretch.

Fry has bounced around in his first couple of years in the NFL. He has played three games for three different teams and has converted on five of six FG attempts to go along with five of seven PAT attempts. The 3rd-year kicker will get a chance to compete for the starting job in Jacksonville in 2022.
