Holyfield was entering his third NFL season coming out of Georgia, having gone undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. He started out with the Philadelphia Eagles before spending time with the Bengals on their practice squad. While fighting for a roster spot in 2022, he injured his right knee during training camp and went down, immediately being carted off. He will miss the remainder of the 2022 NFL season.

Holyfield has been with the Bengals since October and is competing for a roster spot this season. According to reports, Holyfield went down during a team drill after taking a leg to his shin. He was holding his leg and was carted back to the locker room immediately afterward with what appears to be an injury to his right knee.
