Week 16 Outlook
Availability
The Patriots activated cornerback Duke Dawson (hamstring) from injured reserve Tuesday. He will be eligible to play against the Jets when the team returns from its Week 11 bye. Running back Kenjon Barner was released to make room on the roster.
Fantasy Impact
Dawson was selected in the second-round of April’s draft. He had four interceptions and nine passes defensed in 2017 as a senior at Florida. He joins Stephon Gilmore, Jason McCourty, J.C. Jackson, Jonathan Jones, and Keion Crossen at cornerback.
The Bengals traded the 56th pick in the NFL Draft to the Patriots, who selected Florida cornerback Duke Dawson.
Fantasy Impact
Dawson is a slightly undersized cornerback who projects as a slot corner in the NFL, though he is talented enough to play on the outside. Some analysts believe he is a day one starter at corner in the slot for the Patriots.
