Week 17 Outlook
Availability
The Washington Redskins on Sunday addressed a major immediate roster need, signing two players – D.J. Williams and Ernst Brun – at the tight end position.
Fantasy Impact
Williams and Brun are the new tight ends on the roster replacing Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen, who were both put on season ending injured reserve. They will compete for snaps at the position with Jordan Reed, the only other relevant TE on their current roster.
The Chicago Bears have placed linebacker D.J. Williams on Injured Reserve with a neck injury.
Fantasy Impact
Williams can be dropped in all leagues.
D.J. Williams finished Thursdays game with four tackles, all solo.
Fantasy Impact
Williams does not provide much fantasy value, he is, at best, a LB4.
D.J. Williams did not provide many tackles in Sunday's victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He finished with only two total tackles, one of which was solo.
Fantasy Impact
Williams might now be the focal point for this Bears defense with Lance Briggs possibly out with groin injury. Williams should be considered a LB3 for IDP leagues.
Starting LB D.J. Williams is out for Sunday's game in Atlanta. That makes all of the Bears starting LBs (Lance Briggs, Shea McClellin & Williams) out versus the Falcons. Top reserve Jonathan Bostic is out as well.
Fantasy Impact
A brutal hit for the Bears defense as they will be facing a top scoring offense in the Falcons. Looks like the perfect makings of a high scoring game in the Georgia Dome.
