D.J. Foster

Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Arizona change-of-pace running back D.J. Foster suffered a torn ACL during the club's 27-3 preseason victory in Dallas. Foster was listed as the Cardinals' third-string running back but will be placed on season-ending IR.
Fantasy Impact
Foster caught 17 balls for Arizona last season but wasn't expected to garner much playing time behind David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. Foster is only 24-years-old but his fantasy value is limited to deep dynasty leagues with an available IR slot.
Arizona Cardinals running back D.J. Foster appeared to hurt his knee on a kickoff during the team's third preseason game in Dallas. Foster ran downfield and prepared to take a block before grabbing the back of his knee. He was ultimately taken from the field in a cart and quickly ruled out of the game.
Fantasy Impact
Foster, a third-year man out of Arizona State, was listed as the Cardinals' third-string running back behind David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. Foster rushed 6 times for 19 yards and caught 17 passes for Arizona last season.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the Arizona Cardinals are signing running back D.J. Foster from the New England Patriots practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Foster will join the Cardinals in the wake of David Johnson's dislocated wrist injury which could sideline the elite rusher for an extended period. He will add depth to the now depleted Cardinals' RB depth chart that includes Kerwynn Williams and Andre Ellington, who are next in line to serve as the team's top rushers in Johnson's absence.
2nd year RB/WR D.J. Foster has been waived by the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Irrelevant in redraft formats, Foster has been an intriguing name in devy/dynasty circles due to his impressive collegiate track record, and the fact that he's in orbit with the high-flying Patriots offense. Should he clear waivers, expect him to land on the Patriots practice squad and may be on the active roster for a game or two. Should he force his way into playing time, he's an intriguing option for PPR formats.
D.J. Foster was promoted to the Patriots active roster Saturday. Foster's signing to the active roster comes as a corresponding move to TE Rob Gronkowski's placement on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
Foster was waived earlier in the week and had no interest around the NFL and ended up back on the Patriot's practice squad. This could be a short-term stay on the roster and the team is deep in running backs and will need to bolster the TE position.
