Dillon Johnson
RB - Carolina Panthers
Availability
Dillon Johnson carried the ball 18 times for 83 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for zero yards in a 15-12 loss to the Jets in preseason action on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson led the Panthers in rushing in the loss with the team holding Jonathan Brooks (knee), Chuba Hubbard, and Miles Sanders out of action. Johnson was intially signed as an undrafted rookie by the Titans but they released him at the end of July, allowing the Panthers to scoop him up. He will continue to compete for a role as a reserve in the Carolina running back room.
Dillon Johnson is signing a deal with the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
With Rashaad Penny's recent retirement, the Panthers needed more depth at the running back position. They get that in Johnson, who spent some time with the Titans this offseason after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He's unlikely to carve out any kind of a fantasy-relevant role for himself this year.
The Tennessee Titans have signed former Washington Huskies RB Dillon Johnson to an undrafted free-agent deal.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson has a reputation as a hard-nosed runner, something he displayed by fighting through injury during Washington's CFP run. The Titans signed RB Tony Pollard to play alongside Tyjae Spears. Tennessee's RB room, though, lacks depth behind the pair, leaving space for Johnson to fight for a roster spot.
