Fantasy Impact

While many kickers can be forgiven for missing from 47 yards out, the fashion in which Bell missed was embarrassing; his lame-duck kick fluttered flaccidly left and well short of the uprights despite clearing the Ravens' defensive line. Bell wasn't ever likely to make the Lions' roster over incumbent Matt Prater, but he's also not doing a good job putting together an enticing tape for other NFL teams.

Former Mississippi State kicker and undrafted free agent Devon Bell nailed a 42-yard field goal attempt Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers but missed his shot at an extra point.

Fantasy Impact

It's highly unlikely Bell will unseat Lions' incumbent kicker Matt Prater, but he displayed good range against the Steelers and can likely improve his extra point efficiency. He won't be fantasy-relevant anytime soon but, with a good enough preseason performance, could conceivably catch on with a team whose kicking game is currently struggling.
