Demetric Felton Jr.
RB -
Week 12 Outlook
Availability
The Cleveland Browns have waived Demetric Felton.
Fantasy Impact
Felton was used mostly as a returner in his two seasons with the Browns. A team in need of running back or special teams help could claim Felton. The former sixth-round pick tallied 189 yards and two touchdowns on 20 receptions in 24 games.
Demetric Felton Jr. got the start and carried the ball eight times for 31 yards in a 17-15 loss to Washington in preseason action on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
With Nick Chubb being held out of the game and RB2 Jerome Ford dealing with a multi-week hamstring injury, it was Felton who played with the first-team offense. He came close to scoring but his knee was ruled down at the Washington one-yard line. Felton should continue to see plenty of preseason action as Ford recovers from his injury.
Demetric Felton Jr. could see more reps in practice after No.2 back Jerome Ford suffered an injury on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Felton performed well in the Hall of Fame game accumulating 51 yards and a score on nine touches. Were Ford to miss extended time, Felton would likely split backup duties with John Kelly, who also had a solid HOF game. For now he’s not much more than a back of the bench pickup in dynasty formats.
Demetric Felton Jr. registered 46 rushing yards and one touchdown on seven carries in a win over the Jets Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Felton also caught two of his three targets for nine yards Thursday. Felton tallied his touchdown on a 16 yard run in the third quarter to bring the Browns to within two points. The 25-year-old will enter his third season with the Browns, but will likely see limited playing time during the regular season.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, RB Demetric Felton was listed as inactive for the Browns' Thursday Night Football game.
Fantasy Impact
In a game expected to be impacted by weather, Cleveland could turn toward its RBs for production. Felton's inactive status indicates that means RBs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt with D'Ernest Johnson as the backup option and Jerome Ford. The Browns likely don't see Felton's pass game abilities as useful against Pittsburgh.
