Davion Davis
WR -
Week 12 Outlook
Availability
The Washington Commanders released WR/KR Davion Davis.
Fantasy Impact
Davis could draw some interest from other teams for a role in special teams.
The Houston Texans have signed 27-year-old WR Davion Davis to their practice squad, his second stint with the Texans.
Fantasy Impact
Davis went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Sam Houston State, where he had consecutive 1,000 all-purpose-yard seasons to end his career. Davis has bounced around from team to team, including stints in the XFL and USFL. He has just one career touch and will likely remain on Houston's practice squad.
Houston Texans' WR Davion Davis failed to catch either of his two targets in Sunday's loss to the Colts.
Fantasy Impact
The second-year man out of Sam Houston can be left on waivers on all leagues that don't offer a large taxi-squad. In that case stashing him hurts nothing.
Browns WR Davion Davis caught 5-of-10 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Falcons.
Fantasy Impact
Davis finished preseason with an impressive total of 12 catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns. However, he was recently suspended without pay for the first two weeks of the regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse. He was allowed to take part in preseason, however, where he made a strong case for a roster spot on Cleveland. Davis is eligible to return to the active roster on September 20th after the team's Week 2 matchup against the Texans.
