David Ojabo (ankle/knee) has been placed on Baltimore's injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
Ojabo suffered a pair of injuries in Week 3's loss to the Colts that will ultimately force the team to place him on IR. He's out for the next four weeks at the minimum, but his absence could extend beyond that. The team is signing veteran Kyle Van Noy to the active roster to help fill the void that Ojabo's absence leaves.
David Ojabo and the Baltimore Ravens agreed to terms on his rookie contract.
Fantasy Impact
Ojabo was drafted in the second round of this year's NFL draft, and was the last unsigned rookie in the entire draft. Ojabo suffered an Achilles injury last season that potentially made it harder for the Ravens to figure out a fair evaluation of the Michigan product. When Ojabo does return he will have a chance to make an impact as both he and Ravens' new DC Mike Macdonald came over from Jim Harbaugh's squad at Michigan to join John Harbaugh's team in Baltimore.
The tests David Ojabo had done confirmed that he tore his Achilles and will be out approximately six months.
Fantasy Impact
Doctors expect him to make a full recovery. The timing is extremely unfortunate as he was expected to be a first-round draft pick, so it will remain to be seen what the talented linebacker does going forward.
Adam Schefter is reporting that Michigan linebacker David Ojabo got hurt at his pro day and limped off field with the help of trainers.
Fantasy Impact
Entering the draft as a red-shirt sophomore, Ojabo is a projected first-round pick and has a NextGen Stats rating of 84. Scouts have been impressed by his sophisticated rush approach with a strong ability to juke, stutter, and spin his way into backfields as well as speed to close outside rushes quickly. We will update with more information as it is known.
