The Detroit Lions are signing TE/FB Darrell Daniels to their active roster following OT Matt Nelson being placed on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
Daniels is a 28-year-old former undrafted TE who has played for the Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals. Though he has never played more than 50% of a team's snaps, he was most active playing for the Cardinals in 2020, playing 43% of the team's snaps. He could serve as the Lions' fullback alongside Jason Cabinda, who is slated to be OUT in Week 4's TNF matchup.
Darnell Daniels was traded to the Seahawks on Saturday in exchange for WR Marcus Johnson, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
Fantasy Impact
This is a trade of back-end roster players for both teams. This gives Daniels a better chance going into the season on a team as he should make the Seahawks for depth purposes. The 23-year-old tight end has no fantasy value.
