Darius Anderson
RB -
Week 9 Outlook
Availability
Darius Anderson suffered a dislocated knee that required immediate surgery, ending his chances of playing in 2022.
Fantasy Impact
Anderson had reportedly been having a solid training camp and was likely to see a lot of late-game touches in the Texans' upcoming preseason games. The third-year RB is yet to record any stats in the NFL, but averaged 5.6 yards per carry and scored 18 touchdowns through four seasons with the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs.
The Dallas Cowboys have signed UDFA running back Darius Anderson from TCU.
Fantasy Impact
The Dallas Cowboys have made a number of interesting UDFA signings, most notably Darius Anderson and Rico Dowdle. Anderson tested slower than expected at the 2020 NFL Combine, but looked good enough in college and at the Senior Bowl to warrant kicking the tires. He showed some explosion on tape, and has good enough size to stick around on the final roster. With that being said, he is not a threat to Ezekiel Elliott's workload, and will be facing a battle just to make the roster. If he does, he will likely slot in as the third string running back. He will be someone to target if Elliott ever goes down with an injury, as he will likely split touches with Tony Pollard.
At The 2020 NFL Combine, Darius Anderson (5'10/208) runs a 4.61 40-yard dash.
Fantasy Impact
Darius Anderson is known for his speed on the football field. Literally nicknamed "Jet", Anderson needed to show up and run a blazing speed at the Combine to elevate his draft stock. Unfortunately, 4.61 at 208 pounds isn't as fast as he needed to run to see his stock raise enough to become fantasy relevant. It's going to take a superb landing spot to consider Anderson in the mid rounds of your Dynasty rookie drafts.
