Week 11 Outlook
Availability
Former Rams, Patriots, Dolphins, Lions and Texans WR Danny Amendola retired from the NFL, turning down calls from "multiple teams."
Fantasy Impact
Amendola was best known for his seasons in New England when he won two Super Bowls. Although he never had more than 700 yards in a regular season, Amendola gained notoriety for his postseason prowess. In the 2018 playoffs, Amendola had 348 receiving yards and two touchdowns in three games. Despite going undrafted, he had 11,761 all-purpose yards in a 14-year career.
Houston Texans' WR Danny Amendola caught 3-of-5 targets for 23 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets.
Fantasy Impact
Amendola has been in-and-out of the Texans starting lineup this season. If he can stay healthy, now that Tyrod Taylor is back he could see an uptick in fantasy relevance. For now, though, Amendola is off the fantasy radar.
Danny Amendola caught 3-of-5 targets for 17 yards in the Texans' Week 7 blowout loss to the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Amendola made it back to the field after missing the last four weeks with a hamstring issue. As long as he can stay healthy, his production could rise with the potential return of Tyrod Taylor in Week 8 versus the Rams. Regardless, Amendola is off the fantasy radar.
Texans head coach David Culley said that he hopes wide receiver Danny Amendola (thigh) will be active for next Sunday's game against the Colts.
Fantasy Impact
When asked if he thought Amendola would be ready, Culley said, "We hope so. He was close last week." The 35-year-old caught five passes for 34 yards and a score in Week 1 but was knocked out of Week 2 and has not played since then.
Texans WR Danny Amendola has been listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Patriots due to a thigh injury.
Fantasy Impact
Amendola has been sidelined since Week 2 with the thigh injury but could return to the field on Sunday. That's good news for Davis Mills and the Texans' offense, as they could use all of the help they can get.
