Curtis Lofton
LB -
Week 16 Outlook
Availability
Curtis Lofton tallied four tackles (one solo) Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Impact
Lofton is a good run stuffer, but a liability in pass coverage. As a result, defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. replaced him in passing downs with rookie linebacker Neiron Ball.
Curtis Lofton recorded seven tackles (five solo) Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Fantasy Impact
Lofton has been receiving more snaps the last few games, even in nickle packages. By sheer volume, he should rack up tackles. Lofton is good against the run but poor in pass coverage.
Linebacker Curtis Lofton recorded 13 tackles (seven solo) Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Fantasy Impact
Nice bounceback game for Lofton as the coaches decided to give him more playing time. The Raiders have a good defensive line that should keep the linebackers free to make plays. With that said, Lofton is slow and not that effective in pass coverage.
Curtis Lofton recorded one tackle with one assist against the Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Lofton is not relevant in real-life or fantasy. Although the Raiders look to tally plenty of defensive snaps this season, Lofton doesn't have the talent to take advantage.
The Saints are actively looking for trade partners for Curtis Lofton, as they continue to try to make room under the salary cap.
Fantasy Impact
Bad news for what was a terrible team defense in 2014, as one of the few steady play makers looks to be on his way out. The move is likely part of a larger overhaul at LB, but it remains to be seen how getting rid of Lofton will have upside for the defense.
