Dolphins release Cortland Finnegan

In an expected move, the Dolphins release veteran CB Cortland Finnegan. The team is on a mission to to free up cap space. Dropping Finnegan will free up $5.5 million.

Fantasy Impact

Cortland had his best days with the Tennessee Titans who drafted him in 2006. 2014 revealed that Cortland was on the downside of his career. He only played 12 games last year, missing time due to injury. Quarterbacks who targeted Finnegan last year completed 66.2 percent of their passes. This was an no-brainer move for Miami.

Cortland Finnegan is listed as active today and will play against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Impact

Great news for Finnegan and the Miami D. However, he hasn't seen the field in weeks, and it's the fantasy playoffs. Unfortunately we need to see how he looks until we put him in our lineups.
