Week 11 Outlook
Availability
Ian Rapoport on Twitter is reporting that sources have said that the New England Patriots are going to release quarterback Cody Kessler.
Fantasy Impact
By releasing Kessler, the Patriots are down to two quarterbacks on the roster. Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham will battle it out this offseason to see who be will be the Patriots starting quarterback. If Stidham is still available in your dynasty league snap him up quick, as has a legitimate chance of being the starter.
Cody Kessler has found a new home in the NFL and it’s in New England.
Fantasy Impact
Kessler was brought in for additional depth after Brian Hoyer was released. He joins the Patriots as the third QB on the depth chart.
Eagles beat writer Reuben Frank is reporting quarterback Cody Kessler (concussion) has been cleared to practice.
Fantasy Impact
Kessler is fighting for a roster spot with the signing of Josh McCown, and is unlikely to make it with Nate Sudfeld on the roster.
Eagles quarterback Cody Kessler left Thursday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a concussion and remains in the concussion protocol, according to the team.
Fantasy Impact
It has been a rough week for Kessler, who left Thursday's game with a concussion and saw the team sign Josh McCown as another backup quarterback over the weekend. Kessler's chances of sticking with the Eagles take a big hit with the McCown signing.
Cody Kessler is being evaluated for a head injury suffered in the Eagles' preseason matchup against the Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact
After losing Nate Sudfeld to a broken wrist last week, Kessler's exit leaves Clayton Thorson as Carson Wentz's primary backup. Given Wentz's injury history, having shallow depth behind him at QB isn't a good idea. Don't be surprised if Philadelphia signs another QB before the regular season kicks off.
