Week 11 Outlook
Availability
Chris Polk netted three carries for four yards and failed to secure his lone target as the Texans locked up the AFC South in a victory over Jacksonville in Week 17.
Fantasy Impact
Polk is an interesting deep league piece in dynasty leagues if he lands in a better situation at some point in the offseason. However, the fact that Arian Foster has been out the majority of the season, and Polk hasn't been able to capitalize and beat-out plodder Alfred Blue, doesn't really bring much optimism to his future outlook.
Chris Polk rushed 11 times for 38 yards as the Texans lit up the Titans in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact
Polk is more talented than Alfred Blue, but really hasn't done too much with his opportunities this season. He was however, the preferred option when Houston went into clock-killing mode later in the game. Polk will continue to play second fiddle, and isn't fantasy viable in Week 17.
Chris Polk gained only six yards on four carries in the Texans 16-10 victory over the Colts in Week 15.
Fantasy Impact
Polk wasn't targeted in the passing game, and neither was usual passing-down specialist Jonathan Grimes. Alfred Blue is over his back issues, and reclaimed the majority of the work, while UDFA Akeem Hunt ended up second in touches with seven. Polk has been moderately interesting in deep leagues at times this season, but isn't someone you can consider in any format with the running back usage being so inconsistent in Houston.
Chris Polk rushed 11 times for 34 yards and secured both of his targets for an additional 14 yards in the Texans 27-6 loss to the Patriots in Week 14.
Fantasy Impact
Polk is the new "lead dog" in this frustrating Texans committee, but that really hasn't equated to fantasy production. He has received 13 touches in each of the last two weeks, but Jonathan Grimes received four fewer touches tonight (nine) and out-gained Polk 62-48. Alfred Blue didn't even step on the field, and appears to have been surpassed by UDFA Akeem Hunt as well. Look for Polk and Grimes to continue their 60/40 split next week when the Texans travel to Lucas Oil Stadium to possibly take on Andrew Luck.
Chris Polk (hamstring) is unlikely to play in Week 11 against the Jets after the Texans promoted RB Akeem Hunt from the practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Polk was already considered questionable, and didn't practice the majority of the week. Hunt, is an UDFA out of Purdue who has 4.37 wheels, and solid kick return ability if the Texans choose to utilize his skills. Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes will lead the backfield in touches, but watch this situation in case Hunt gets a few opportunities.
