Charlie Kolar
TE - Baltimore Ravens
Availability
Charlie Kolar (toe) was a limited participant at practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Kolar was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a toe injury. This is a new issue for the young tight end, and he seems to be day-to-day for the time being. In the off-chance that he misses Sunday's game, Mark Andrews would see more snaps in his absence.
Charlie Kolar caught three passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Kolar was phenomenal on Sunday. He caught three passes for 64 yards and a score, including a catch that went for 55 yards. He has looked really good in his limited action throughout the year so far, but with Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely both taking snaps from him, he's unlikely to get enough work to be fantasy relevant for the foreseeable future.
Charlie Kolar caught his only target for a 19-yard touchdown in Baltimore's 56-19 blowout win over the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Isaiah Likely is the main tight end for Baltimore now that Mark Andrews is hurt, but Kolar is proving to have an impact on this offense. He has been seeing some solid snaps, and on Sunday, he was able to catch his first career touchdown pass in a blowout win over the Dolphins. There was some optimism surrounding his pass-catching ability when he was drafted out of Iowa State a couple of years ago, so it's possible that he could develop into someone worth rostering in deeper dynasty leagues down the line.
The Ravens activated rookie TE Charlie Kolar from IR on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Kolar, a rookie from Iowa State, could make his debut in Week 11 following the Ravens' bye. The 23-year-old prospect was highly touted for his pass catching abilities out of college, and Baltimore selected him in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, 11 spots ahead of teammate Isaiah Likely. If Mark Andrews cannot return from injury against the Panthers, Kolar could be looking at his first NFL snaps.
Rookie TE Charlie Kolar will undergo surgery next week to address a sports hernia injury that dates back to college.
Fantasy Impact
The Baltimore Ravens stacked up at TE in the offseason by drafting both Kolar and TE Isaiah Likely to back up All-Pro TE Mark Andrews. According to Shaffer, the sports hernia injury has lingered with Kolar since Iowa State, where he had 2,044 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns in his final three seasons. Kolar will try to fix the issue which will only help him in the long run.
