Charles Woodson to retire after 18 Years

Charles Woodson will retire after the 2015 season, ending what will most certainly be a Hall of Fame career. Included on his resume are a Heisman Trophy and a Defensive Player of the Year award.

Fantasy Impact

After 18 years, Woodson is still flying around the field trying to keep the Raiders in the game every week. Without a doubt, one of the greatest defensive backs to ever take the field.

Charles Woodson with another takeaway

Charles Woodson did not have an interception Sunday, but he did strip a ball from a receivers' hands and ran it back the other way against the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact

Woodson doesn't look like he's slowing down at all after all these years. Three offensive turnovers spoiled what was not a bad defensive effort by the Raiders.

Charles Woodson picks #65

Charles Woodson intercepted Geno Smith for his 65th career interception and is now tied for fifth on the all-time list. It was his fifth interception of the season, which leads the NFL.

Fantasy Impact

Woodson went a long ways from center field to pick the offering out of the air and is playing much younger than his birth certificate states. He is the anchor of a much improved defense.

Charles Woodson finally picks Peyton

In his 18 year career, Charles Woodson had never intercepted Peyton Manning. That can never be said again as Woodson picked him off twice today. In the second period Peyton threw into the end zone under pressure where Woodson was waiting. His second pick in the third quarter was one he ran across the field and stole from Demarius Thomas.

Fantasy Impact

Woodson is putting up some highlights this season and is a good play in leagues that use individual defensive players. He is also leading the Raiders improving defense onto the fantasy radar.
