Carson Steele
RB - Kansas City Chiefs
Availability
Carson Steele carried the ball twice for six yards and caught his lone target for an eight-yard gain in a 27-20 win over the Raiders in Week 8.
Fantasy Impact
Steele continued his recent trend of seeing just a handful of touches per game as he has just 15 carries over the past four contests. The rookie will not be a recommended fantasy option heading into Week 9's Monday night game against the Buccaneers.
Carson Steele ran for 17 yards on six carries in the Chiefs 28-18 win over the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Steele has slowly moved into a backup role behind Kareem Hunt. He is off the fantasy radar.
Carson Steele rushed the ball five times for 12 yards in Monday's 26-13 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Impact
Steele wasn't very involved on Monday. He saw just five rushes over the course of the night, which ranked third on the team. It's clear that this is Kareem Hunt's job to lose right now, and this backfield will only get murkier in the coming weeks with Clyde Edwards-Helaire nearing a return after missing the start of the season.
Carson Steele carried the ball two times for six yards, lost a fumble, and caught one pass for no gain in a 17-10 win over the Chargers in Week 4.
Fantasy Impact
Steele got the start and handled two touches on the opening drive, but he lost a fumble on the second touch. He was effectively benched after that, seeing just one carry over the remainder of the contest while Kareem Hunt led the way with 14 carries for 69 yards. After the game, head coach Andy Reid told reporters he went with the hot hand at running back but it appears that Steele may have lost the lead-back role moving forward. Fantasy gamers will have to wait until next Monday when the Chiefs face the Saints in Week 5 to see how the running-back touches shake out.
Carson Steele carried the ball 17 times for 72 yards and added a two-yard catch in a 22-17 win over the Falcons in Week 3.
Fantasy Impact
Steele led the backfield for the Chiefs as Samaje Perine got six carries and four targets. It appears that the Chiefs feel comfortable with giving Steele the majority of the carries while Perine mixes in on passing downs. Steele will be in the mix as an RB2 in fantasy heading into Week 4 against the Chargers.
