QB - Chicago Bears
Availability
Caleb Williams completed 23 of his 31 passes for 231 yards while adding nine carries for 70 yards in a 20-19 loss to the Packers in Week 11.
Fantasy Impact
Williams was unable to throw for any touchdowns for the fourth straight contest but he was able to salvage his fantasy afternoon with his 70 rushing yards. The rookie quarterback will draw another tough test in Week 12 as he will face the Vikings.
Bears coach Matt Eberflus confirmed that Caleb Williams is still the team's starter.
Fantasy Impact
"Caleb is our starter,” Eberflus said. Eberflus says there will be changes after three straight losses but still evaluating and "everything is on the table" -- with one exception and that being at the quarterback position.
Caleb Williams completed 16-of-30 passes for 120 yards in the Bears' 19-3 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. He also ran twice for 15 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Williams took an abysmal nine sacks as the Patriots' defense proved to be too much for the young signal-caller. Despite much hype in the preseason, Williams has failed to live up to expectations. It is important to remember he is still a young and developing quarterback and with the Bears' offensive playcalling questionable at best, to take patience with him in dynasty formats. For now, though, he's a matchup-based streamer only, and even then proceed with caution.
Caleb Williams (ankle) is off of the injury report for Week 10's matchup against the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Williams tweaked his ankle last week, but it's not a serious injury at all and he carries no injury designation heading into Week 10. He should play and projects to be a solid fantasy option against the Patriots on Sunday.
Caleb Williams completed 22 of his 41 pass attempts for 217 yards in Chicago's Week 9 loss to Arizona. He added four carries for five yards.
Fantasy Impact
Williams was unable to register a touchdown for the second consecutive week, and was held to a career-low five rushing yards. To make matters worse, he was caught limping off the field on the final play of the game, as head coach Matt Eberflus made the puzzling decision to keep playing him in garbage time. Fantasy managers will need to monitor Williams' status for Week 10 against the Patriots, who are an ideal bounce-back matchup.
