Byron Murphy Jr.
CB - Minnesota Vikings
Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Byron Murphy and the Vikings have agreed to a two-year, $22 million deal.
Fantasy Impact
Murphy is moving on from the Cardinals after spending the first four years of his career in Arizona. The 24-year-old tallied four passes defensed and 36 tackles in nine games last season. The Vikings’ secondary should see an improvement with the addition of the young cornerback.
Byron Murphy finished Sunday’s win over the Bengals with nine total tackles (eight solo).
Fantasy Impact
Through Week 5, Murphy is currently fourth on the team in total tackles. He can be left on waivers for now, but this performance does warrant keeping an eye on him as the season rolls on.
The Arizona Cardinals have selected cornerback Byron Murphy with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Murphy is the second draft pick of the Kliff Kingsbury era following some quarterback named Kyler Murray. Murphy was second team All-American in 2018 and totaled four interceptions. He could wind up being a slot corner at the NFL level.
