Week 17 Outlook
Availability
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed 2017 sixth-round tight end Bucky Hodges to the team's practice squad. Hodges was drafted by the Vikings and had a brief stint with the Jets this summer.
Fantasy Impact
Hodges projects as an in-line blocker but the Pittsburgh's tight end depth chart is currently very banged up. If he were to get the call-up, he'd have little to no fantasy value.
One day after claiming Clive Walford off of waivers from the Raiders, the Jets signed former Minnesota Vikings prospect Bucky Hodges to add some much-needed depth to their tight end position. A 2017 sixth-round pick, Hodges has yet to make an appearance in the NFL.
Fantasy Impact
Hodges was expected to be a decent sleeper coming out of Virginia Tech but he was waived in September and finished the 2017 season on Carolina's practice squad. Outside of Walford, who just joined the squad, the Jets have little in the way of competition so Hodges has a shot at making the team out of training camp, but he's well off the fantasy radar.
