Bruce Miller was arrested Monday morning for an alleged assault of two men while intoxicated. He reportedly is being charged with battery, assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, and elder abuse.
Fantasy Impact
This is his second run-in with the law as a 49ers and the team made an immediate statement by cutting the fullback turned tight end. No word on the punishment yet, but it's hard to imagine Miller playing anytime soon.
Bruce Miller, the 49ers fullback, was informed today that he is now a tight end.
Fantasy Impact
This isn't good for Miller, who is likely to be on the outside looking in when the roster goes down to 53. He's a talented player and an excellent FB, but he is a remnant of Jim Harbaugh's pound it down your gullet scheme. He is too slow and small to be a real tight end, and Chip Kelly doesn't utilize the fullback. He'll make another roster. With the Packers seemingly moving on from John Kuhn, Miller may open the season blocking for Eddie Lacy.
Miller had two carries for three yards and a ten-yard catch on his sole target to go with the touchdown.
Fantasy Impact
I don't want to see the league where you're forced to play Miller in the playoffs. He got the carry after Shaun Draughn went out with a leg injury. He's irrelevant in fantasy.
Bruce Miller rejoined the 49ers on thursday to wrap-up the 49ers OTA's. He stated ''I want to apologize to everyone that this had a negative effect on,'' Miller said. ''Completely understand the expectations of me. I have the same expectations. We're on the same page. ... I've completely committed to taking the steps necessary to be here and be a part of this football team.''
Fantasy Impact
Miller had missed time due to his handling of a misdemeanor disturbing the peace charge, of which he pleaded guilty. The 49ers need as many hands on deck as possible, and if Miller can stay on the field, it's a small boost to the value of niner RBs.
Bruce Miller has pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace after destroying his ex-fiancee's phone.
Fantasy Impact
Miller has yet to practice with his team, but plans to rejoin his team for OTAs. Even though he is one of the best fullbacks in the league, he is well off the fantasy radar.
