Brandon Johnson
WR - Pittsburgh Steelers
Availability
The Steelers signed WR Brandon Johnson to their practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson and Ben Skowronek were both added as depth receivers on the practice squad for Pittsburgh. Johnson was recently released by the Broncos.
Brandon Johnson caught 2-of-2 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos 38-12 win over the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Zach Wilson late in the fourth quarter. He held a depth role in Denver last season where he caught 4 pass for 88 yards in Week 18 against the Raiders.
Brandon Johnson caught 4 of 5 targets for 88 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson enjoyed a nice three-game run to wrap up his second NFL season, finishing it off with a new career best in receiving yards for a single game on Sunday. Over the last three games, Johnson hauled in 11 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown (Week 16).
Brandon Johnson caught four of his six targets for 27 yards in a 16-9 win over the Chargers in Week 17.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson tied for the team lead with six targets but he only mustered 27 receiving yards in the low-scoring win. Johnson saw an increased role thanks to Courtland Sutton (concussion) and Marvins Mims Jr.(hamstring) both being unavailable to play. Assuming one or both of the receivers is able to return for a Week 18 matchup against the Raiders, look for Johnson to return to a reserve role.
Brandon Johnson caught three of his five targets for 47 yards and one touchdown in the Broncos' 26-23 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson maximized his increased involvement in the Denver passing attack seeing more than one target for the first time in his last five games for the Broncos. The wideout remains too risky of an option for fantasy managers to plug into lineups despite a generous matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers ahead.
