Bene' Benwikere
CB -
Week 16 Outlook
Availability
Bene Benwikere collected five solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass defensed in the Arizona Cardinals Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Impact
Benwikere isn't as big a producer as the rest of the Cardinals' secondary, but he has just as much opportunity to rack up the tackles. Keep an eye on him moving forward in case he steps it up.
CB Bene Benwikere recorded three solo tackles, three assisted tackles, one pass defensed, and one interception in the Arizona Cardinals' Week 5 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Benwikere benefited from the poor play of 49ers' QB C.J. Beathard. In all likelihood, there's nothing to see here.
Bene Benwikere has been signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Benwikere's signing won't have any effect until he is promoted from the practice squad, but this could be good practice for Packers WRs who are preparing for the NFC title game against Atlanta.
The Dolphins claimed veteran cornerback Bene Benwikere off waivers on Monday. The former Panther is the newest member of the embattled 28th-ranked Miami defense. The Panthers cut Benwikere presumably after getting torched by Atlanta's Julio Jones in Week 4.
Fantasy Impact
This was an expected signing. The Dolphins seriously needed help after dealing with the loss of starter, rookie Xavien Howard and a struggling (former starter) Byron Maxwell who was benched in favor of Tony Lippett. The Miami defense is still a top target for your fantasy player's pleasure.
Bene Benwikere has been waived by the Panthers. WR Julio Jones, who was mostly covered by Benwikere, finished the game with 12/300/1 contributing to the move by GM Dave Gettleman.
Fantasy Impact
Benwikere will most likely be claimed on waivers by a few teams. It's a blow to the Panthers secondary as Benwikere played well in 2014 and 2015. WR Mike Evans should feast on the Panthers secondary this week.
