Benardrick McKinney
LB -
Week 17 Outlook
Availability
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Texans are trading Benardrick McKinney to the Dolphins in exchange for Shaq Lawson.
Fantasy Impact
The Texans after giving McKinney a few weeks to try and find a trade partner for the veteran finally found a landing spot for the LB. McKinney had a down year last season recording just 37 tackles after having 101 the season before. Lawson makes alot of sense for the Texans as he's two years younger than McKinney.
The Houston Texans are placing LB Benardrick McKinney on season-ending IR with a shoulder injury that will require surgery.
Fantasy Impact
This is a huge blow to a weak Houston defense. McKinney has been a staple at LB for the Texans since being drafted in the second round in 2015, racking up 95 or more tackles in each of the last four seasons. He remains under contract with Houston through 2021.
Benardrick McKinney (concussion) is ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
McKinney missed practice all week and remains in concussion protocol, he will miss Week 16. Brennan Scarlett, who was recently activated, should see an increased role.
Benardrick McKinney finished Saturday's 21-7 loss to the Colts with nine total tackles, five being solo efforts.
Fantasy Impact
For next season, IDP owners playing with multiple LB spots should consider drafting McKinney. He is a solid LB2 in most formats finishing this season with 105 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception.
Texans linebacker Benardrick McKinney led the team with 10 tackles (six solo) and one TFL in Monday night’s 34-17 win over the Titans.
Fantasy Impact
McKinney was in on a key stop on a fourth-and-short in the first half that swung momentum in Houston’s direction. It led to a Lamar Miller 97 yard touchdown run. McKinney now has 80 tackles in 11 games this season. The Browns, on a two game win streak, are up next in Week 13.
