Azeez Ojulari
LB - New York Giants - IR
Week 13 Outlook
Availability
The Giants placed Azeez Ojulari on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
Ojulari stepped into a bigger role with the Giants defensive line after Kayvon Thibodeaux was placed on IR. He'll miss at least the next four games.
New York Giants edge rusher Azeez Ojulari is officially active for Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.
Fantasy Impact
Ojulari was excellent as a rookie, generating 27 pressures, eight sacks, and eight tackles for loss. His return, along with that of fellow edge Kayvon Thibodeaux, provides a massive boost to the Giants' pass rush. They will be missing Leonard Williams, who could have kicked inside with Ojulari and Thibodeaux healthy, but that dream D-Line setup will take at least one more week to finally materialize. Ojulari is a DL2 option on a regular complement of snaps but is more DL3 for his first game of the season.
Azeez Ojulari (calf) is listed as doubtful for Week 2 against the Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
Ojulari has yet to play in a game this season. He played in all 17 last year, totaling 49 tackles, eight sacks, and one forced fumble.
According to Pro Football Focus' Ari Meirov, the New York Giants are listing LB Azeez Ojulari as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Ojulari had a major injury-scare in the preseason but got fortunate news after further testing, but he is doubtful to play Week 1. Coming out of Georgia, Ojulari ended his rookie season with eight sacks. The Giants will have to rely more on veteran DL Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams.
Azeez Ojulari is likely to be a game-time decision for the season opener against the Titans as he battles back from a strained calf.
Fantasy Impact
The second-year pass rusher's limited practice load has led beat reporters to believe he will not suit up on Sunday, but the Giants are yet to officially rule him out. New York could potentially be without Ojulari and Kayvon Thibodeaux (knee), so rotational players such as Jihad Ward, Oshane Ximines, and Tomon Fox may need to step up.
