Arden Key started off the preseason strong, recording two sacks in his debut for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact
Arden Key entered the league in 2018 as a third-round selection of Thursday night's opponent, the Raiders. Key spent his first three years with the team that drafted him before joining the 49ers for the 2021 season where he recorded 6.5 sacks through 17 games as a rotational pass rusher. Key will likely play a similar role this year with the Jaguars as he sits behind Josh Allen and first overall pick Travon Walker on the depth chart.
Defensive lineman Arden Key will visit with Detroit today.
Fantasy Impact
The 25-year-old is coming off a season with San Francisco where he collected 6.5 sacks with one pass deflection and 22 tackles. The former third-round pick is reported to have multiple teams interested in signing him.
The Oakland Raiders have now come to terms with their entire 2018 draft class after signing third-round defensive end Arden Key to a four-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
Key was a monster at LSU in 2016 but tailed off badly last year and slid all the way down to the 87th pick after being touted as a first-round talent. The Raiders defense needs an infusion of youth, so Key has a chance at being an immediate contributor for Oakland and in IDP leagues.
