Week 12 Outlook
Availability
The Bengals placed defensive lineman Adolphus Washington (knee) on injured reserve Friday, ending his season.
Fantasy Impact
Washington sat out last week’s loss to the Ravens and hasn’t been able to practice for two weeks due to the knee issue. DT Christian Ringo was signed off the Cowboys practice squad to take his spot.
Ohio State DT Adolphus Washington was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the 80th pick of the NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
The Buffalo Bills first three picks have been all defense. Washington will most likely not be a starter this year, but will be a great fit for the Buffalo Bills.
Adolphus Washington is one of the more intriguing defensive linemen in this draft class. After being arrested for solicitation and suspended from the Fiesta Bowl for carrying a gun(legally w/ permit), he made a formal apology to the Buckeye nation at the podium. Washington didn't do much to impress during on-field drills as he consistently showed a lack of quick-twitch movements and reaction times. He ran a 5.17 40-yard dash with a 1.8 second 10-yard split.
Fantasy Impact
Adolphus Washington is a guy who will see more value from his film than his pro day workouts. He will likely be taken in the first two rounds and can be an instant starter or rotational body.
Adolphus Washington, the 6'3", 297 lb defensive tackle from Ohio State, will be one of the more intriguing defensive line prospects to watch at the 2016 NFL combine. His quickness and athleticism to burst off the snap have drawn praise, but his lower body strength is questioned. He uses upper body strengths to fight off blocks which can lead him to be off-balances often. He also was suspended from the National Championship game after he was arrested for solicitation.
Fantasy Impact
From initial reports, it doesn't appear that the solicitation arrest will hold teams back from investing in the defensive playmaker. He is currently projected as an early second day prospect.
