Aaron Banks
OG - San Francisco 49ers - IR
Week 18 Outlook
Availability
Aaron Banks left Sunday's game early against the Dolphins with a knee injury.
Fantasy Impact
It is another injury to a banged up 49ers offensive line. Banks was ruled out right away so it is unclear if he will return in Week 17.
Aaron Banks has reportedly been placed in the concussion protocol.
Fantasy Impact
While Banks misses some time, Jason Poe and Nick Zakelj split first-team reps at left guard.
The San Francisco 49ers have selected G Aaron Banks with the No. 48 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Described by several scouts as a "bully" and built to dominate the trenches, Notre Dame G Aaron Banks will plug the interior of San Francisco's offensive line to help protect No. 3 overall pick QB Trey Lance. Trent Williams and Mike McGlinchey have the tackle positions secured but the interior was lacking outside of C Alex Mack during an injury-filled 2020 season in the Bay Area. Banks is elite in both run-blocking and in pass protection, using his hulking 6'6" 330-pound frame to open running lanes and seal up blitzes and bullrushes in obvious passing situations. Overall, this is a fantastic selection for 49ers' head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch.
